Danny, there are really no words to properly express my sadness and devastation right now. I have cried until there are no more tears and my heart literally hurts because I miss you so much! I keep looking at my phone to see your daily messages but there's nothing there but the ones we sent right before you left. You know how you always said you didn't want to keep sending me so many messages, videos, and voice clips because I was a busy lady and I told you to never stop sending them?...

I inherited Danny's friendship from my Mom. When she passed away he became such a great friend to me and have been forever grateful. He helped me survive the loss. He will be so missed.

Daniel's Obituary

Daniel Richard “Danny” Harris, 58, of Spencer, died Monday, March 16, 2026, at his home.

He was born March 26, 1967, at Ripley, the son of the late Jack and Dottie Shaffer Harris.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mystie DePue.

Danny was an administrator for the Long Fork Campground.

Survivors include his niece, Holly Depue (Alex Taylor); one great niece, Faith Taylor.

His pastime included hiking.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 22 at Ferrell Cemetery, Gandeeville, with Rev. Jack Roberts officiating.

John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, is assisting the family with arrangements.
