Danny passed away on November 14, 2025 after an extended illness with Melanoma, over many years that did not stop him from leading a full life. He was born in Alexandria, VA on July 22, 1961 to Paul and Kay Dwyer. He was the youngest of four. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Springfield, VA in 1979. He then attended and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa (UNI) in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management. He was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity and played on the UNI Rugby Team. He later advanced his education by obtaining Associated Degrees in: Personal Computers, Networks, and Database Management from Northern Virginia Community College. Professionally, he spent his working years supporting various DoD contractors with his expertise in Personal Computers and Networks while stationed for extended periods of time in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He even owned his own Paint Business on the side during some lulls in DoD contracts.
He loved both the Outdoors, fitness and traveling. He really enjoyed biking 40 miles per day in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for one of his annual summer vacations for two weeks. As well, he traveled 25 times to Europe, for two weeks at a time, visiting many countries with his brothers and sister. He also was a snow skier with many trips to Aspen, CO with his brother Mike. Occasionally he also played racquetball and golf. He collected hand painted metal figurine soldiers from the various countries he visited in Europe. He also was certified in SCUBA diving having visited many islands in the Caribbean. He had completed over 150 ocean dives. Other hobbies include model electric trains where he even had a large HO layout. And he also enjoyed Salmon Fishing having caught King Salmon in both New York State and Alaska. And his pride and joy was his female St Bernard - “Sweetness” that accompanied him to old town Alexandria on many occasions where visitors wanted pictures taken with Sweetness!
