I had Mr. Sellers as a history teacher! I remember him being a great teacher. A good coach. Loving Goodrich Athletics!
The friendly wave from the Press Box to me and other former students. Very Happy he was able to celebrate Goodrich Football 2024 D4 State Championship!
Thank You Dan Sellers! Forever a Goodrich Martian!

I always liked Mr Sellers. He was a good, decent and fair man. His teachings in the class room as well as on the football field were life lessons. Always respected this good man. Rest easy Dan. I'll see you again. May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

In high school Dan drove a burgundy 1959 Pontiac convertible. The more you pushed on the accelerator, the slower it moved. We also learned from each other how to hunt rabbits as young teens.
Rest in peace Dan.

Coach Sellers was an inspiring man who greatly influenced all that he interacted with. He was a true Martian and our biggest supporter on and off the field. Through the ups and downs, he was a mentor that offered advice and encouragement. We will greatly miss his presence on the field and in the press box on Friday nights. Thank you Coach and God Bless.

Sorry to hear of his passing. Knew him as a neighbor growing up and riding our bus. Always polite and friendly to everyone. He was a great teacher as my children had him in school.

Daniel “Dan” L. Sellers of Otisville and Davison died unexpectedly Saturday November 22, 2025 at Henry Ford-Rochester Hospital. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions in Dan’s memory to Goodrich Community Schools or to the family.
Daniel was born in Pontiac, Michigan on August 9, 1946 the son of the late Merlin and Ilene (Hornug-Lugg) Sellers and resided in the Otisville, Davison, Ortonville, and Grand Blanc area most of his life. He was joined in marriage to Andra Jane Mills April 15, 1967 and she preceded him in death on March 22, 2020. The halls of the school seemed quieter when Dan wasn’t around, yet his presence echoed everywhere –from the crackle of the loudspeaker during Friday night lights to the polished wooden floors of the gym. For decades, Dan was more than just a teacher he was the voice of the community and the steady hand on the field. As coach, he instilled discipline, effort, and most importantly, a sense of belonging in the countless young athletes. Whether his teams won or lost, his message remained the same punctuated by his trademark, encouraging roar after a solid effort: “We are Goodrich”. It was more than a statement; it was a badge of honor, reminding everyone that unity and hard work made them part of something greater. His dedication as an announcer and coach left a legacy of spirit, teamwork, and the enduring belief that every student had the potential for greatness. Dan was also an avid hunter and enjoyed being with his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory: daughter: Angela and husband Dan Thorne; son: Roger and wife Cindy Sellers; grandchildren: Tyler, Clay, Dannyelle, Sydni, Gabbryella; great grandchildren: Greyson, Sonny, Kenai, and Layla; sisters: Camelia Wright, Cheryl and husband Jimmy Holmes, and Candace and husband John Harrell and a host of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother in law: Wally Wright. Please share your condolences at www.HansenFuneralHome.net
