Not sure what to say?

Our condolences to Dan's family and friends. Our family was blessed in countless ways by Dan and Lynn's ministry at First UMC in Warner Robins! Dan came to us right after our pipe organ was installed. He could sing, direct choirs and ensembles of all ages, and develop dramatic productions. Norma, as organist and accompanist, was supported by his skills on the organ (a great help as a sub!) and he could play all the "hard" piano parts when we played organ/piano duets together. We were amazed...

Such a loss to all of us....Dan was indeed such a talented, loving person to all that knew him. I haven't seen Dan since his recital at Asbury. I felt so honored to be invited to his senior piano recital. Dan performed elegantly as expected, but right during his last piece he showed his humorous side. The smile he gave to the audience was worth a million dollars. I know without a doubt that he was welcomed into his heavenly home. Prayers and love to his family.

I graduated with Dan in 1968 from Mt. Orab High School in Ohio. He was very outgoing and liked by teachers and students alike. I remember him playing the piano for our chorus. He was very talented. My prayers go out to his family.

The love that was shedding his heart by the Holy Spirit was on display for the world to see; from strangers, to friends, to the way he took care of his wife, the last several years. If the greatest of these is love, then he was one of the greatest among us.
See you soon, brother!

I'm sorry to hear of Dan's passing. He and Lynn were a big part of my life as a youth at First UMC in Warner Robins in the 1980s. I did a high school project on Kenya and got to interview Lynn about her medical work there and then actually got to go to Kenya when in college. My mom helped Dan organize the music library at church and babysat Hannah on Sundays when she was a baby. Dan was a real gem, and the world has lost a creative talent and a lively personality.

My condolences to Dan and Lynn’s family. Devastating news to hear

My deepest condolences to Dan's family. I met Dan as he and Lynn would shop at Walmart. I befriended Dan because he was such a kind, patient and loving husband to Lynn and helping her get around. One day I offered up a hug because caregivers are the last to think of themselves and thought he might need a hug. That weekly hug went on for about 2 years. I saw the news of Dan's passing on Facebook, one of Dan and Lynn's favorite restaurants Hole In The Wall. This news completely devastated me....

Mr. Dan you will always hold a special place in my heart. You were my first choir director, you always helped me when I needed help or advice. Rest in peace my friend. I love you

Dan was my husband’s roommate at Asbury College. He sang at our wedding and attended many of our family gatherings. One of the reasons we always loved having him was because his stories were so entertaining, often hilarious ! We had maintained contact with him and we had a chat through facebook private messages two weeks ago. We were in awe of his love and compassion and commitment to Lynn ! We also appreciated his clear understanding of the Bible and his obvious relationship with Jesus....
