Danny Ray Blakeman, 73, passed away on February 26, 2026, at his home in Anderson County, Kentucky. Born March 13, 1952, in Shelbyville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late George Blakeman and Jean McClease Blakeman.
Danny was a graduate of Western High School and a lifelong farmer who took great pride in working his farm, especially tending to hay, cattle, and tobacco. He dearly loved his family and enjoyed watching sports, especially University of Kentucky basketball.
He is survived by his sons, Jarrod (Becky) Blakeman of Washington County, Kentucky, Daniel (Chelsie) Blakeman of Frankfort, Kentucky, and Austin (Brittany) Blakeman of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Kaylea, Marcus, Cole, Jaxen, Westyn, Chloe, and Presley; his great-grandson, JJ; and his siblings, Debbie Scrogham, Judy (Bobby) Peach, and George (Joy) Blakeman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Dustin Blakeman.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, 701 N. Main Street, Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, with Aaron Blakeman officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, March 2, 2026, and again on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 12:00 Noon until the time of service at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jarrod Blakeman, Daniel Blakeman, Austin Blakeman, Cole Blakeman, Tim Hammons, and George Blakeman.
The family requests casual attire for the services, as this is what Danny would have wanted.
