I would like to say I'm so sorry Linda for loosing Danny he was a wonderful man and friend he will be missed by many peoples I'm so sorry I could not come to the celebration thing I told Chad Perkins and Eddy Hayes to tell you I was sorry

I'm sorry to hear about Danny he was a wonderful person and friend

Danny was my first partner at Putnam County Ems. He thought me a lot about how to care for patients, true care, saying “treat them like family “ cause that’s what they will remember and what some of them need the most. Thanks for the advice,laughs, and the friendship Danno. Prayers for his family

Kim your DAD was a wonderful friend,Co-Worker he really care for family,friends,patients he was a leader for those starting out in EMS we are so proud of you all giving yourselves to Putnam County,until we all meet again “ FLY HIGH DANNY.

So sorry for your loss. I thought a lot of Uncle Danny. I will miss him. We will be praying for you and the family.

A Celebration of life Service with E.M.S. Honors will be held at The Putnam County Convention Center/ Jessica Rector Clark Welcome Center at 2121 Event Center Drive Cookeville TN. 38501, on Thursday January 29, 2026, at 5:00P.M. with visitation beginning at 3:00P.M. 

Danny Ray Heady, age 68, was born in Jackson County TN, on March 1, 1957, to Ed and Rose Heady, He passed away on December 22, 2025, at The Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

He was a member of Verble Baptist Church of Monterey and he Retired from Putnam County EMS as a Major after 42 years of dedicated serves to his community. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by,

4 Brothers, Bobby Clay Heady, Joe Edward Heady, Ralph McCoy Heady and Larry Wayne Heady.

3 Sister, Mary Margret Prill, Judy Faye Heady and Brenda Lee Dill.

He is Survived by,

Wife, Linda Heady of Putnam County

Daughters, Kim Heady of Cookeville, Tracy Guyon de Chemily (Patrick) of Acworth Georgia and Savanna Galloway (Trevor) of Lenor City TN

Grandchildren, Aubrey Hunter of Cookeville, Cooper Guyon de Chemily of Acworth Georgia, Avery Grace Galloway Lenor City.

Brother, Roland Heady of Gainesboro

Sisters, Pam Humphrey of Cookeville and Gayle (Eddie) Pharris of Cookeville. 

Host of other family also survive.
