Not sure what to say?

So sorry to hear of Danny’s passing. Always enjoyed talking with him at State while doing business. Prayers for the family

My friend for life and always.
You are loved and will be missed.

First friend I ever had. Life takes people on different journeys and you get out of touch, but this friend was as true as you could get. In all my life, I've never met anyone that ever said anything negative about him. If you couldn't get alone with Danny, then something was wrong with you! I love you man! RIP

So very sorry for your loss Danny was a great guy

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Sheila and to the rest of the family I am so sorry for your loss! We will be praying for all of you!

Obituary

Danny's Obituary

Danny Leo Scott, 59, of Buskirk, KY departed this life on Sunday, March 15, 2026 after a prolonged battle with cancer.

Danny was a longtime employee of the Williamson Daily News and State Electric Supply Company. In his final years he took great joy in managing his cabin, Willow Lane Cabin Rentals, with his wife Sheila, welcoming trail riders from all over the county to his beloved corner of River Road.

A lifetime resident of Buskirk, Danny devoted himself to helping his friends and neighbors. He was a gifted artist and craftsman who was always eager to jump in when a project needed completed. However, his greatest gift was his ability to love. He had a unique ability to know when someone needed reassurance, a listening ear, or just someone to sit and listen to music with them.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Jacqueline Hays Scott and Leo Cecil Scott; sister, Linda Scott; brothers-in-law Randy Scott and Mike Smith; and sister-in-law Juanita Deskins.

Danny is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Ann Scott of Buskirk, KY; sisters Teresa (Steven) Murphy of Pinsonfork, KY, Sherry (Stan) Scott-Markle of Buskirk, KY, Carol (David) Murphy of South Williamson, KY and Tammy Smith of Sidney, KY; a special niece, Brandi Scott, whom he loved like a daughter; stepson Calib (Chelsea) Ball; beloved granddaughter Anistyn Skye Ball; brother-in-law Sam (Rhonda) Deskins; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will welcome visitors on Wednesday, March 18, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at R.E. Rogers Funeral Home. Private family services will be held at a later date. R.E Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, KY is serving the Scott family. Online condolences may be shared below.
