Not sure what to say?

Danny will be missed by all who knew him. Always a joy to see him when my dad and I would visit with Uncle Dominic and Aunt Rose.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I am truly going to miss my king Danny, that smile

Danny's Obituary

Danny is a lifelong resident of Dearborn; he graduated from Edsel Ford High Schools Special program in 1982. He went on to attend the Services To Enhance Potential (STEP) program. He started going to the Arc Dearborn in 2012 where he fell in love with the program and made many friends.

Danny was a man of many passions and even more heart. He found joy in life’s quiet pleasures—hours spent piecing together jigsaw puzzles, the thrill of a good horror movie, and the comforting rhythm of working on his beloved hook rugs. He was equally at home singing along to The Sound of Music or Grease, musicals that never failed to bring a smile to his face.

Stubborn in the best way and meticulous to his core, Danny had a way of doing things all his own—especially when it came to his cherished tradition of creating a monthly calendar. With great care, he marked every birthday, anniversary, and holiday, never missing a chance to celebrate the people he loved.

What truly made Danny unforgettable was his tremendous sense of humor. He had a quick wit and a unique way of turning everyday moments into laughter-filled memories. A prankster with a sly grin, His smile could light up a room, and his quiet laughter had a way of bringing people together.

Danny’s deep faith was a guiding force in his life and he was an undeniable presence in his church community at Sacred Heart. Always a bit of a showboat, he had to be the last to receive Communion and made sure to polish off the last of the Altar Wine with a healthy guzzle. Extremely, ritual oriented, he would cap off every Mass he attended by remaining until everyone was gone so he could turn off the church lights.

But above all, what defined him most was his love for family. They were the center of his world, the inspiration behind every thoughtful gesture, and the heartbeat of his days.

Beloved brother of Tom (Debbie) Tataranowicz, Rose (Larry) Erwin, and Nancy (Ken) Nadolsky. Dear uncle of Keira, Evan, KaSandra, Francine, Rosilee, and Kimberly. Great uncle of Elizabeth. Great great uncle of Amani. Danny is preceded in death by his parents Dominic and Rose as well as his cherished, and never to-be-forgotten grandmother, Mary Erak.
