Danny's Obituary

Mr. Danny Ray Turner, 66, husband of Glenenett Wilson “Muh” Turner, of Mullins, passed away following injuries sustained from an automobile accident on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at MUSC Health Marion Medical Center.

Danny Ray, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and all-around good person, was born on July 4, 1959, in Marion County, South Carolina. Danny Ray was a son of the late Henry Turner and the late Mary Caulder Hare. Danny grew up around the Marion County area, where he made his living as a Handyman, taking on all size projects for customer and leaving them satisfied with the finished product. He met the love of his life, Glenenett, and shared 26 wonderful years of marriage together raising a family, and spoiling grandchildren. He loved the outdoors, especially working in his yard. Danny enjoyed his yard and was proud of the hard work he put into it. When he had time, Danny would grab his fishing poles and head down to his fishing hole and catch a mess of fish for supper or grab his rifle and head out to the woods and watch the deer gather and go. Danny was also a member of the Rains Fire Department. Danny was loved and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Surviving Danny Ray in addition to his wife of 26 years and of the home, Glenenett Wilson “Muh” Turner are: his two daughters: Crystal (Murchison) Gilmore and Cherish Wilson; his God son, Darius Barrett; his grandchildren: Brittany Staub, Murchison Gilmore, IV, Aniyah Vereen, Tavion Vereen, Jackie Avant, and Grayson Cribb; his brothers and sisters: Buddy (Teresa) Caulder of Galivants Ferry, Esther (Mack) Jacobs of Tabor City, NC, Cathy (Scott) Privett of Spartanburg, Melvin Turner of Spartanburg, Joey (Lisa) Hare of Bennettsville, Lisa Bish of Pittsburgh, PA, and L.D. (Cathy) Dimery of Myrtle Beach.

Mr. Turner was predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Flora Jean Turner, Jimmy Turner, Vera Turner, Jimmy Turner, William Turner, and Thelma Gray.
