Darell Gordon Buie, Sr., 52, departed this life on October 14, 2022 at his home. He was born on December 24, 1969 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Benjamin and Janice C. (Bell) Buie.
He married Stephanie E. Taylor on December 21, 2013. Mr. Darell Gordon Buie, Sr. was a man of many talents and gifts. He was a carpenter/handyman, cook and a special education aide. He was an avid basketball lover, who in his lifetime won the Illinois State Boy’s Basketball Championship in 1987 for Venice High School.
He attended Abundant Faith Christian Center.
He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Buie; brothers, John and Alfred Buie, and only nephew, Vincent M. Bell,Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory; wife, Stephanie E. Taylor-Buie, mother, Janice C. Buie, siblings, Marcue Buie, Lisa Bell-Holmes and Vincent Bell, Sr., children, Adrian Taylor, Darina Bynum, Darell Buie, Jr.,Katon Taylor, Christopher Taylor, and Kendrell Buie; 18 grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, other family members and friends.
