I grew up on Dartmouth St in Somerville. I am just hearing about Darleen 's passing I remember Darleen Sorry for your loss.

She was a good soul we had ups &down but most of all she was a genuine good person she got a hard hand in life thank God for her son she spent the remaining time with her son I'll always remember the good times there's more good times than bad times maybe go straight to heaven and rest you we're tired God bless you loving soul

Darleen's Obituary

Darleen DiStasio, of Danvers, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at the age of 67. Born in Medford and raised in Somerville, she was the beloved daughter of the late Romeo and Mary (Kehoe) DiStasio

From a young age, Darleen possessed an innate sense of fashion, often creating stunning pieces of clothing that she designed herself. Her creativity extended beyond fashion; she was also a talented ceramic artist, operating her own ceramic studio where her unique pieces brought joy to many.

Darleen was known not just for her artistic flair but also for her culinary skills. Friends and family alike would gather around her table to enjoy the delicious meals she lovingly prepared.

She was the beloved mother of Vincent "Vinny" Destasio of Danvers. The devoted grandmother of Vienna Distasio. Dear sister of Noreen Vincente and her husband Tony, Charleen O'Brien and her husband Tom, Kathleen Spinosa and her husband Dan, Corleen O'Connell and her husband John and Romeo "Ro" DiStasio and his wife Nancy. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. 

Calling Hours will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville, on Sunday, September 22nd from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. A prayer service will be held in the funeral home at 11:30AM.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.   A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 23rd at Walnut Grove Cemetery, 30 Sylvan St., Danvers at 11:30AM.
