Hearing about Darlene's passing filled me with a mix of sadness and celebration. What a remarkable individual who embodied love, compassion, and kindness towards her family and dear friends. What a special friend and person. For over 50 years I've been blessed to call her friend. We've laughed and cried together. We've had so many fun times over the years in dramas at Gilead, vacations to Kentucky, Cape Cod, and timeshares where we had such fun. She had a great strength about her.
