I am so happy to have met and bonded in friendship with this crazy lady. Always the same. You dont find that in people these days. She will be truly missed. Rest only sister ❤❤❤

I'm sorry for your lost, my daughter was a neighbor friend of Darlene, God knows best for all of us, Yes he saw the best in Darlene. May God give you peace, because she is alright.

DARLENE's Obituary

Darlene Windmon entered eternal rest on Monday, May 13, 2019 at West Jefferson Medical Center. She was a native of Carpenter, MS and a resident  of Marrero, LA. Darlene was employed as a nurse aide. Devoted mother of Tameka Ruffin and  Dequandra Taylor. Daughter of the late Johnny Lee Windmon and Rosie Lee Taylor Windmon Wilson.  Sister of Evette Trice, Belinda Ann (Rodney) Collins, Debra Miller, and Harold Taylor. Aunt of Emmett, Christopher, and Junior Taylor, Jerome and Ozaki Trice, Dewayne, Jarvis, and Iriemme Windmon, Rodricka Collins,  Rosie Taylor, and the late Joseph Taylor and Carl Windmon. Niece of the late Ruby Wells, Willie Ella Function, Gale and Carla Taylor. Godmother of Ray Anthony, Keedie, Shaquille, Shameaka, Keiona, Deshawn, Ashanti, and Neisha. Devoted friend of Stacy Wilson, Crystal Thomas, Regina Golman,  Rene Nellon, Leann Jackson, and the late Adrene D. Williams, and Patricia Johnson, also survived by a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Second Zion Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Services  at Second Zion Baptist Church 6520 Second Zion Ave. Marrero, LA  Friday, May 24, 2019 at 10:00a.m. Pastor James Nelson Brown officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, LA.
