Obituary
Darrell's Obituary
Darrell Dean Nickels, 74, of West Columbia, WV, passed away March 18, 2026, at his home following an extended illness.
He was born on March 2, 1952, in Gallipolis, OH, a son of the late James A. and Iva (Whitt) Nickels. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jeff and Tim Nickels, sisters, Karen Goody and Pam Hall.
He was a former laborer in construction and Aluminum production. He was a Baptist by faith and enjoyed working on cars, tinkering and blacksmithing.
Survivors include his sons, Darrel Dean Nickels Jr. of Wellston, OH and Adam Dale Nickels of West Columbia, WV; brothers, Doug and Paul Nickels; sister, Sharon Johnson; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Service will be 1 p.m. ~ Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Foglesong-Casto Funeral Home, Mason, WV, with Pastor Randy Parsons officiating. Burial will be in Hill Cemetery, Madison Township, OH. Visitation for friends and family will be from 12 o’clock noon until time of service on Saturday.
