Darrell Eugene Thompson

Darrell Eugene Thompson, 69, of Lindsay, passed away on February 12, 2025, at his home.  The son of Iver Cleve Thompson and Ella Mae (Brister) Thompson, Darrell was born on November 29, 1955, in Oklahoma City. 

Darrell was a graduate of Dibble High School.  He married Mary Katherine (Richardson) Thompson on July 7, 1978.  His last job that he enjoyed doing was working as a farm hand for the US Forestry Department.  But Darrell was no stranger to work.  Over the years, he worked at Fred Jones Manufacturing, Robinson Steele, as a truck driver, and as a night stocker at Walmart.  In addition to those jobs, he also served as a volunteer firefighter for Dibble Fire Department for about 22- 25 years.  Darrell attended Cole Baptist Church several years back.  In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.  Most of all, Darrell enjoyed spending time with his kids.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Darrell is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ronald Thompson.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary Thompson; two sons, Frank Thompson and Darrell Thompson both of Lindsay; one daughter, Katherine Wheeler and husband Daniel of Moore; two step grandchildren; several step great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Jetty and husband Bruce of Newcastle and several nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.   

Services for Darrell will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, February 24, 2025, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard.    Arrangements under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home.  Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
