Darren Lynn Slabaugh

Darren Lynn  Slabaugh, 29, Bradenton, Fl, formerly of Nappanee, died Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at his residence of natural causes.   He was born October 30, 1995 in Kosciusko County to Wayne L. and Margaret Ann (Schmucker) Slabaugh.

Darren moved to Florida 4 years ago from Nappanee.  He had worked in construction and demolition.  In Darren’s younger years, he loved the outdoors, chasing and catching butterflies.  He loved family time and enjoyed playing and watching sports. He had a good heart for people and was a hard worker

Surviving are his parents, Wayne and Margaret Slabaugh, Etna Green; siblings, Leon Ray (Mary Lou Miller) Slabaugh, Arcadia, FL, Anita Faye Slabaugh, Brian Allen Slabaugh, both of Etna Green; niece, Skyla Nicole Slabaugh; nephew, Shawn Lynn Slabaugh; paternal grandparents, Lonnie and Verba Slabaugh, Nappanee and maternal grandfather Oscar (Laura) Schmucker Jr., Bremen.  He was preceded in death by sister, Debra Jo Slabaugh; maternal grandmother, Joanna Schmucker; and nephew, Elijah Ray Slabaugh.

Family and friends may call after 10 am, Sunday, August 10, 2025 at the Kevin Stutzman residence, 8502 N 600 W, Etna Green.  Funeral services will begin at 9:30 am, Monday, August 11th also at the Stutzman residence.  Home Ministry of the Old Order Amish Church will officiate and burial will be in Graber Cemetery.
