Our deepest condolences to the Powell family. From Sunlight Baptist Church to Dick Dowling Elementary, Darryl was a lovely child who grew into a wonderful man. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

On May 12, 1963, Darryl Lynn Powell was born in Beaumont, Texas, to Bonzie Powell and Wentrice Hartman Powell, who both preceded him in death.
Darryl grew up in Beaumont along with his sisters, Icerine and Yolanda. Darryl graduated from French High School in 1981. Upon graduation from high school Darryl joined the United States Marine Corps., where he served several years. He later served several years in the U. S. Marine Corps. Reserve with an honorable discharge.
He was married to Elizabeth Alexander, and a son, Marco, was born in this union.
On Monday, July 18, 2022, Darryl entered eternal rest at his residence in Baytown, Texas.
Memories of Darryl are left to his son, Marco Powell, and sisters, Icerine Powell and Yolanda Powell. Also a host of relatives and friends.
