From my experience with Dave in high school: all the compliments above are well-deserved. Dave was often my ride to St. Xavier High School. He came driving along southbound on Winton Road, toward that same school-day destination, as I was thumbing a ride in Finneytown to St. X. He was / is a generous, friendly soul who has gone on now to his heavenly reward. May he rest in peace, and may Perpetual Light shine upon him!

I will miss the great times we spent together!

Dave was my brother, Geri and I went to Carol & Dave's house while dating, then after we were married. Every Friday & Saturday night, Sunday's at Wild Mikes, 2-3 dinners per week, since 1973. Dave was my best man in our wedding, as he truly was my "best man", he was the God Father to our first son Jeff as well. There was a time Dave mentioned he never played on any sports teams, so I said lets get a softball team together. Since we went to Lake Nina so much I asked them to sponsor us and they...

David's Obituary

David Joseph Anneken passed away Monday, January 27th, ,2025, at the age of 77 and is at peace with God.

Loving husband of 55 years to Carol A. Anneken (nee Jelen).  Beloved father of Amy (Paul Usher) Anneken and Dennis (Leslie) Anneken.  Dear grandfather of Aubrie Anneken(Adam Davis) and great-grandfather of McKenna Davis.

Dave is survived by 2 brothers (Steve (Kathy) and Tom (Diane) and 7 sisters (Jan, Mary Durham, Patricia (Jim) Kuhl, Rose (Brad) Franks, Nan (Randy) Ashley, Barb (Rusty) Nall, and Joyce).  He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Dorothy and sister Carol and brother Joe.

Dave also has many nieces, nephews, cousins and in laws as well as many dear friends.  He was a long-time member of the Little Flower Men’s Society serving as President for many years in their mission of serving the parish and community.

Visitation will take place Tuesday, February 4th, 2025, from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 5527 Cheviot Road, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45247.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, Feb. 5th at 10:00AM at St Therese Church of the Little Flower 5560 Kirby Ave. Cincinnati Ohio 45239.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Little Flower Men’s Society c/o Parish Office 5560 Kirby Ave. Cincinnati Ohio 45239.
