David's Obituary

David W. Ashbaugh Jr. of Grass Lake, age 75, passed away at home July 25, 2018 under the loving care of his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, David W. and Eleanor (Kaiser) Ashbaugh; infant son, Zane Michael Ashbaugh and infant brother, Brian Ashbaugh.  David is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Gladys “Jean”; son, Scott (Kellie) Ashbaugh; 2 step-grandsons; 5 step-great grandchildren; sisters, Wanda (Dick) Cox, Glen (Linda) Frey, Flora Myers, Crise Earley and Yvone (Rick) Soulliere; several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Barbara Neely; sister and brother-in-law, Barb and Louie Marienfeld. David retired from Herendeen Construction with many years of service.  He was an avid sports fan, enjoying playing golf, bowling, softball and basketball in many leagues.  David was loved by his family and will be remembered for his kind personality.  A celebration of David’s life will be held 3 PM August 2nd 2018 at Sherwood Funeral Home, Grass Lake, with visitation from 2 PM until time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Grass Lake Warrior Club, 11500 Warrior Trail, Grass Lake, MI 49240.  Please sign David’s guest book at sherwoodfh.com
