David Lee Barker Sr.

David Lee Barker Sr., aged 74, entered eternal rest on May 16, 2024, at his home in San Benito, Texas. He was born to parents Lucien Barker and Angelita Leal Barker. 

David is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Michelle Barker Johnson. 

He leaves behind his loving wife, Oralia Barker, who will hold his memory close to her heart forever. His love will live on in his six children, Lisa (Adolfo) Gonzales, Melissa Barker (Henry Mallard) Lara, Barbara (Doug) Foreman, Melinda (Miguel) Fuentes, Elda De Jesus, David L. (Yliana) Barker Jr, and Angela Barker. He will be remembered dearly by his sisters, Ofelia (Sabas) Cortez, Peggy Ramirez, Marie Ann Labus, and Annie Barker. His legacy will continue in the lives of his eight grandchildren, Travis Murphy, Ashley Lara, Karina De Jesus, Hector De Jesus Jr., Leyza De Jesus, Jackie Fuentes, Noah Barker, Zackary Gonzales; and two great-grandchildren, Justin Lee Murphy and Luna Lara Ramirez. He leaves behind Xochitl Garcia, whom he cherished as a daughter and her 3 children Jehu Lopez, Vida Lopez, Juda Lopez who he considered grandchildren. Sofie Barker, his beloved Maltipoo and loyal companion, will miss him dearly.

 Visitation will take place Sunday, May 19, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a prayer service taking place at 6:00 pm, at Trinity Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be conducted the following day, Monday, May 20, 2024, at 10:00 am at Centro De Alabanza y Poder in San Benito. Procession to Monte Meta Memorial Park in San Benito will follow.
