Dr. David Leo Berg D.O., 77, of Chesterfield, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018. David was a graduate of the University of Missouri and the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He had a family practice for many years and after his retirement was an Emergency Room physician at DePaul Hospital. David loved boating and was proud to be licensed as a Captain by the Coast Guard, enjoyed traveling, especially to Germany where he was fluent in German and was a lover of nature and all things living. He was the Beloved husband of JoAnn Berg (nee Maniscalco); the Dear father of Karen (Rich) Rohrbach, Robin (Alan) Schmidt and Julieann Berg; a loving grandfather of Chloe Rohrbach, Jonathon Schmidt, Evie Rohrbach, Michael Schmidt and Mandy Mae Schmidt; brother of Bob (Vicki) Berg, Uncle of Brian (Trisha) Berg and Cousin of Larry (Donna) Sage and their children Emily and Josh Prehm and Brianna and Ethan Prehm.Services: Memorial visitation at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Sunday, July 8, 2018 from 2-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, JDRF - Greater Missouri & Southern Illinois Chapter, 50 Crestwood Executive Center, Suite 401, St. Louis, MO, 63126.
