David "Big Hawk" Bernard Hawkins, 53, passed away in Dallas, Texas on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.
David Bernard Hawkins was born in Greenville, Texas on Tuesday, August 25, 1970 to the parentage of Mary Hawkins Willis and Charles Henry Willis. However, he grew up in Carrollton, Texas where he received his formal education at Country Place Elementary School, Dewitt Perry Junior High School and Newman Smith High School.
David loved sports and was a talented athlete who excelled in football, soccer, basketball and track. He was a devoted and lifelong Dallas Cowboy fan.
Loved ones left cherish David's precious memory and legacy: children, Bernard Reynolds of Dalla, Texas, Marquasha Hawkins of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Jy'darius Hawkins of Dallas, Texas, Britian Murray of Dallas, Texas, Oche Poston of Everett, Washington and Morgan Hawkins of Maeridian, Mississippi; parents, Mary Hawkins Willis and Charles Henry Willis; fifteen grandchildren; several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Helen Ruth "Gran" Hawkins.
