My deepest sympathy to his family. He was a kind and generous cousin. We loved David. God Bless David in eternal peace with his Sad, Mother, Brother and all our loved ones that went before.

David's Obituaries

Canandaigua- David Augustus Canale, 71 peacefully passed away on May 7, 2025 at the VA Home in Canandaigua, NY.

Born on March 23, 1954, in Glens Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Alfred ”Jigger” and Grace Haynes (Canale).

David graduated from Queensbury School District and went on to join the United States Marine Corp. he was in secret communications in Camp La Jeune, stationed on the same base and at the same time as his brothers.  David was an avid tree climber, painter and roofer. He enjoyed family reunions, fishing, and helping others especially his dad.  

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Alfred “Joe” Canale.

Those left to cherish his memory are his brother, Steven Canale; sister, Linda and her husband; also one niece, two nephews, and friends.

Visitation will take place from 11:00am to 12:00pm Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.

A funeral service will follow at 12:00pm with the Deacon Dave Powers officiating.

An interment with military honors will follow at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY.
