Dave and I were both hired on Southern Railway at the same time in 1975 and a couple of years later 'took our rights' at the same time to become conductors. We didn't work on the same crews together much, but for a good while, we worked separate locals that connected at Strasburg. He was widely respected as a conductor and was a dedicated railroader. My sincere condolences to your family on his passing.
