Not sure what to say?

I heard the sad news recently about Dave's passing. He was kind and genuine when sharing his knowledge with co-workers at DEC. He had a gentle matter-of-fact way of putting things and I enjoyed his wry sense of humor. It is no surprise to hear of his other wide-ranging interests in life. My condolences to you Denise and to the rest of the family.

Denise, I'm shocked and saddened to hear about David. He was an awfully nice gent, and the two of you were great together. I hope the many happy memories that you have of your time together sustain you during your grief.

Denise, I just saw this message about David. I do remember David from VMS days as a kind and generous person -- the kind of person who made working at DEC a joy. My deepest condolences to you.

While I had limited interactions with Dave those I did have he really impressed me with his warmth, understanding , and his knowledge. The world will miss him and I'm sorry for your lost.

Denise; my heart is with you. I knew David from restaurants he would frequent for lunch where I worked. He had a special way of connecting with people. However he was always selective of the people he actually enjoyed. He was darkly funny, observant, and consistantly himself. Wherever David is I'm sure he is looking down getting a giggle about something he finds silly that we all are doing. I will keep a special place with me in his memory.

So sorry for your sudden loss of an inspiring and fun individual.
