It was my honor helping Mr. David and Mrs. Connie find a home here in Tupelo to be closer to their sons. I will be praying for all of you. Although I only met you this year, I could tell you loved your wife and family. Such a sweet spirit.

David Annon Etheridge Jr. (Dee) of Tupelo, MS passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Hospice care. He was born September 9, 1949, to David A. Etheridge Sr. and Ruth B. Etheridge Blakely in Greenville, MS. He graduated from Greenville High School in 1968. He attended Mississippi Delta College. He served in the Army National Guard for 10 years. He volunteered with Leland Volunteer Fire Department, Riverside Fire Department, Washington County Emergency Management and Washington County Sherriff’s Rescue. He retired from Atmos Energy Corporation on March 17, 2017.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Connie K Etheridge, two sons, David A. Etheridge “Trae” (Elizabeth) Etheridge, Raymond Terry (Donna) Etheridge. He has 8 grandchildren, Annon (Molly) Etheridge, Casey (Chandler Ashley) Etheridge, Todd Etheridge, Caleb Jones, Paxton Etheridge, Lily Etheridge, Zac (Michaela) Cobb and Katelyn Brooks. He also has 7 great grandchildren, Emery Kate Etheridge, Evelyn Joy Etheridge, Wessyn Ashley, Ayla Ashley, Ella Cobb, Kaemon Lee Cobb and Riddick Alexander Cobb. He is also survived by a sister Debbie (Gene) Waldrop of Madison, MS.
He is preceded in death by his parents, David A. Etheridge Sr., and Ruth B Etheridge Blakely; his sisters, Dixie Lee Etheridge Turnbo and Mary Ruth Etheridge.
Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Cross Pointe Ministries in Tupelo, MS.
Visitation will be at 1:00 pm until service time at Cross Pointe Ministries Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Unit.
