Not sure what to say?

We worked with David at U.N.T. and he had a really big heart! Bless him and all of his loved ones.

So sorry to hear this. I have known Doyle and Pat all my life. May he rest in peace. Much love to the family❤

We have known David since he was little. Him and hi first wife lived across the street from my parents in Krum and after my dad passed away they would keep an eye on her for us. She loved them both and the two girls. I work at Braums and they would come by and say hi at the drive thru. He was a good man and he will be missed. My prayers and thoughts are with the family and may God bless you all. Charlotte and Bobby Turner and family and the Hale family

So sorry for your loss Pat, I know how you loved your son.

David always stopped to chat whenever I saw him in Krum. He will be missed.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. I cherish my memories of you David. The first time I held you, watching Doyle & the Potters put your baby bed together just hours before we brought you home, your baby shower, your first pictures. Your first steps & so many more of loving you & how proud we were of our new baby boy. You were such a joy & blessing. Love Mom

David's Obituary

David Allen Fletcher, 60, of Rhome, Texas, passed away in Decatur, Texas, on January 14, 2026.  He was born in Denton, Texas on September 14, 1965, the son of Doyle Eugene Fletcher and Patricia (Yarbrough) Fletcher.

David worked for the University of Texas in the warehouse for 14 years.  He later served as a Lieutenant EMT-Firefighter for 20 years in Krum and Dallas, Texas.

David married his love, Pamela Reneau, on Valentine’s Day in 2019.

David was passionate about building and racing cars, a hobby he deeply enjoyed. Together with his father, they earned multiple best-in-show awards, making car shows a significant part of David’s life for over two decades. He also loved fishing and looked forward to preparing his boat, hoping to return to the water soon.

David was known for his kindness and generosity. He was particularly devoted to his church, often volunteering his time in various ways, such as mowing the grounds whenever it was needed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Doyle Eugene Fletcher.

David is survived by his mother, Patricia Garcia; his beloved wife Pamela (Reneau) Fletcher; two daughters, Kimberly Goodman and husband Bobby of Plainview, Katherine Hudson and husband Pat; a very special son, Mark Stanley Herring and wife Elesha of Rhome; one sister, Suzanne Hageman of Pratt, Kansas; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service for David will be held at First Assembly of God in Sanger, Texas, on Saturday, February 7th, 2026, at 3:00 PM.
