Not sure what to say?

Kathy, Tony and family,

Mary and I were so saddened to just hear today of the recent passing of David! I was so fortunate growing up to have enjoyed many trips with my family to spend time visiting the Fontanini home in Granger, Iowa. Dave was one of my older (and cooler) cousins and I enjoyed seeing him and talking about cars. He always seemed to have the coolest cars. I think I remember a Dodge Super Bee in the mix at some point.

Kathy...Ron and I are so sorry for your loss. We enjoyed getting to know you and Dave in the River City Corvette club. Your "rides" were always so enjoyable and I know Dave took such great pride in his cars. He will be missed by so many. Thinking of you and hoping you will find peace from those who care about you so much.

I have great memories of Dave being a underling to him when I worked at Trane in the early 1980s. A fellow gear head, great engineering mindset and fun man to a friend with. God bless the family and all friends as he was a great man. Chris

I met David at Phi Kappa Theta fraternity as freshmen at Iowa State University. We hit it off right away as we both liked cars and making them go. He was kind of shy and serious about studying but as he matured through college life he enjoyed social life and made new friends. I valued his friendship as we have stayed in touch since college.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I worked with Dave at the very beginning of my career. I learned alot from him. He was a great example of a smart engineer, professional, and good person.

Kathy and family—my thoughts and prayers to all of you. Tony your tribute to your Dad was beautiful and heart warming. Know heaven has gained an ANGEL.

I really enjoyed working with Dave for many years at Trane. He was always willing to help and was very knowledgeable about our products and how help customers. RIP Dave.my prayers to Kathy and family.

Kathy and family: our deepest sympathy to you all! Sincerely, Elaine Proksch and Sandra Proksch -Troope
