David Lee Gall

David Lee Gall, age 89 of Wakarusa, IN, died peacefully with his 2 sons by his side on Friday morning November  14, 2025.  Dave was born on August 16, 1936 to Claude and Lulu (Umbaugh) Gall.  He lived his entire life in Northern Indiana.  On July 16, 1955, David married Doris E. Balsley in Nappanee, IN. She preceded him in death on November 2, 2018. Dave was always a hard worker.  He started working at Stan Scherer’s Standard Station in Wakarusa.  He then worked for Lechlitner Plumbing and Heating in Wakarusa, and later Lee’s Electric for many, many years.  Dave then went to work for Dr. Adams Plumbing and Heating before retiring from Kemp Electric.  Dave was a jack of all trades and was always looking for ways to help others.  Later in life he would often mow his neighbors’ yards as an act of service.  He was a great example to his family. He is survived by 2 sons: Drex (Jo) Gall of Bremen and Darryl (Cathy) Gall of Nappanee; 5 grandchildren: Daniel Gall, Austin Gall, Jessica (Corey) Schairer, Michell Gall, and Kendra (Dale) Borkholder; and 1 great granddaughter, Tatum Schairer.  Dave was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and a sister, Sally Miller.  Visitation will be held on Monday evening, November 17, 2025 from 4-7 pm at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Wakarusa, IN.  A private family graveside service will be held at Bremen Cemetery.
