Not sure what to say?

I remember him well, David Glucker. We were bunkmates at Camp Council in 1980's. I tried to add him to my Memoir that is now published but he couldn't return name release paperwork, replying he was ill. So sorry to hear about his passing.

Gluck was one of my best friends , he was always teasing me , I was the drama Kimmie but his hugs and love were felt with such compassion . Love you Dave

What a beautiful and loving obituary. My heart goes out to his friends and family. At camp, we called him just "Glucker". Thinking of him at that time in our lives makes me smile. May he rest in peace.

DAVID I. GLUCKER

AUGUST 29, 1969 - FEBRUARY 5, 2026

David Ira Glucker passed away on Thursday February 5th 2026. The son to the late Hank and Sandy, He was born August 29th 1969 in San Diego, California but spent most of his life in Northeast Philadelphia. Dad was the husband to Kelly, the Father to Alexandra, Lilly, and Willow, who preceded him in passing. He was the youngest brother to Tobie, Scott, Barry, and Jonathan and the grandfather (known as ‘Poppy’) to his grandchildren.

In the warmer months you could almost always find dad fishing. He enjoyed golfing especially while visiting his father Hank prior to his passing, reading nerdy series like Lord of The Rings, watching tv while diving into a bowl of cereal and hanging with his beloved pets Kalua, an akita, Ocho and Sig (both bengals).

I remember dad reflecting on some of his fondest childhood and early adulthood memories, his stories always included Camp Council. Dad eagerly awaited summer each year where he would be packed up and off to sleep away camp where he created memories he carried with him always.

He also reflected on loving his time in the Army, and how Alaska had his heart.

Dad was an auto mechanic for the majority of his life including his time serving in the army. He enjoyed doing things with his hands, at one point he even mentioned  forging metal in his garage!

Many knew him for his unbothered affect, witty sarcasm, and wicked dry humor. But what many may not have known was his warm heart, his unmatched resilience, and his desire to just be there for the people he loved. On his final day, David was surrounded by his family and left us having been baptised as a follower of Jesus Christ. Dad, we love you and wish you eternal rest and peace.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Gathering Friday February 20, 2026 9:15AM to 10:15AM at the Immaculate Conception Church, 606 West Ave. Jenkintown, PA19046. Mass of Christian 10:30AM . Interment Private.
