David Keith of Grapeland, Texas ran his race with patience and went to be with the Lord on August
23, 2025.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Parker Cemetery with Rev. Albert Munsinger officiating. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Bailey & Foster Funeral Chapel, Grapeland, Texas.
Born on April 10, 1939 in Timpson, Texas. He worked from the time he was 12 when he bought his mom a refrigerator and a stove. He pastored in East Texas for over 30 years. At Oak Flat Missionary Baptist Church in Huntington, TX, Grapeland Missionary Baptist Church, Hubbard Missionary Baptist Church, Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to countless hours spent with his family and local Church body, David was a beloved member of his community and loved fishing and gardening. His passion was the Word of God and he passed that on to his children.David was preceded in death by his parents, Drewey Bell Golden Keith and Dewey Walter Keith, and siblings John and Jack Keith. He is survived by his wife Lou Christine, his siblings Betty Gray, Golda Greaves, and Tom Keith; his three children, John Walter Keith, Charlotte Faye Ferguson, and Kriss Ann Blume; as well as grandchildren, Kayla, Karessa, Ian, Erin, Caleb and Grace; and great grandchildren Brinley, Jon, Elanor, Alex, Jasmine, Esther, Gabriel, Talitha, Elizabeth, Abigail, Leah, Naomi, Jay and Frank.David’s family is confident that when he became absent from the body he was present with the Lord, and heard the words, “well done thou good and faithful servant.” They also encourage anyone who has questions about his faith in Christ to ask them how you can receive the same gift of salvation.
