Not sure what to say?

I met David later in his life, about a decade ago at BFUU, and appreciated his candor. For the past couple of years, he participated in an online group addressing white privilege, racism, white supremacy, genderism, etc. We all loved his open dive into tough issues as we help each other in learning about our conditioning. David would often come to the meeting grumpy about something and nearly always leave grateful for being challenged as we learned together. His life experience was a treasure...

So so shocked and sad to learn about David's death. If I remember correctly, we met in the early 1980s, during my graduate school days, in Palestine advocacy activists groups -- CAFIOT (the Committee for Academic Freedom in the Israeli Occupied Territories), JAZ (Jews Against Zionism), the Measure E campaign -- the first ever measure in N. America to divest from Israel, and many other social movements fighting for justice in Palestine. He was bright, humble, generous with his time and ideas,...

I first met David in Jewish Voice for Peace after he came back from China - as someone who was also involved with China we had many interesting discussions about his time there. You could always count on David to show up for actions in support of the Palestinian people!

May David's memory be a blessing to all who love him! He clearly devoted himself to peace and justice in the world, and his love for Max and Addam was resounding! Serena, Steve, Max and Addam, I am so very sorry for your loss. May his good works be a constant inspiration and a deep comfort!

It's a shock to me to read of his passing. I remember David when he worked with Jewish Voices for Peace. I was always curious about what he said about his time with the Uyghurs. After the pandemic started I only saw him a few times over the zoom JVP meetings. I was always amazed at his knowledge of the other groups and people outside of our network. My condolences to his family, friends and loved ones. Another compassionate soul has left us.
