David Carroll Morris (57) of Bowmansville passed away at home on September 4, 2025. David was born on November 28, 1967, to Lawrence and Mary (Dudzick) Morris when the family resided on Bickford Street in Buffalo. He spent his early years at the family home in Bowmansville where he developed an interest in fishing, trapping small game, taxidermy and playing guitar.
As the years moved on, Dave became quite social with a large circle of fun-loving friends. He determined early in life that he would spend his time doing the things he loved most with the people he enjoyed most. He played guitar locally with bands The Release, Nix Vega, and Mother May I, among others, and developed his musical talents such that he toured nationally with the Jimmie Van Zant Band.
Dave and several friends made many trips to the lakefront home of his brother Daniel on Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia – these were very happy times.
In recent years, Dave took up full-time employment with Avis/Budget Car Rental at the Buffalo airport.
Dave was predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Mary and older brother Stephen (nickname Buzz). He is survived by his long-time partner Christyann Mutka, childhood friend and housemate Marc Tatko, sister Bonnie, brothers Mark (late husband Mark Ceroseletti) and Daniel (wife Belinda), niece Jenna and sister-in-law Cynthia (widow of Stephen).
In keeping with Dave’s fun-loving spirit in life, there will be two celebrations of life held in his honor: Skoob's Village Grille in Lancaster on September 27 from noon to 3pm with shared memories from family and friends; and Hilltop Inn and Grove in Alden on October 4 beginning at 1pm with a live band, pig roast and other fun activities.
