Not sure what to say?

David has been one of my very best friends for close to 50 years. He has always been a "comfortable friend" in that I never felt that I had to act in any certain way for him to be my friend. We had many experiences and laughs together through the years. It has taken me a while to be able to even write this because I'm still grieving over his absence. I loved David as if he were a beloved family member and he felt the same about us. I will miss him until my days are over on this earth. He...

To the Nash Family, what a good life David Nash LIVED! He was the life of every conversation, football game, cocktail hour and the like. Edward Pritchard and I became close friends with David by easily seeing him in the parking deck of the apartment building we lived in (we were actually neighbors) hauling a case of single malt scotch out of his trunk into his apartment of Cityblock, right then Edward and I knew this man was down for a good time. We are devastated to hear to passing of our...

David,
You have been such a great friend over the last 20 plus years. I have no idea how I am going to travel and make it to the airport on time without you! You were always there for me when I needed directions. Way before GPS. I will always remember your laughter. I will try to be as thoughtful as you and support friends with wisdom. Thank you for always being there to visit while I was in the Marines. You will be sorely missed.

With Deepest Sympathy to your family...

David was such a good friend.... He will be dearly missed. David and I became good friends shortly after I moved to Wilmington in 2000. Through the years we had many good times and I will miss his fun loving spirit. He was a loyal friend to both myself and my husband Channing Floyd. We send love and support to his family and friends.... We will miss you David!

David and I went to school together from about 4th grade through high school. We had the same last name (but not related) so often sat adjacent to each other in class. He was like a brother to me! We could always make each other laugh and did that often, especially in typing class! Our mothers had the same first name, Frances, and we lived very near each other. He was such a big part of my childhood and I'm just devastated! My prayers and sincere condolences to the family. May his memory be a...

To Leslie, Alan, and David´s siblings and grandchildren and other family, I send sincere sympathy and prayers for peace. i will forever miss this cousin whom I knew growing up, partied with at UNC when we were both students, and reconnected years after we had gone separate ways. I loved sharing conversation, travel, our mutual love of the Tarheels, shopping at the Ivy Cottage, and dipping popcorn in pimento cheese. You were always the consummate southern gentleman. You are...

David was a hero to me during a time of need in my life. His guidance and friendship helped me through some dark days. I hope to pass along that legacy to others. May wings of angels take you to your rest my friend.

David was a good steward of his community and a wonderful friend to us. All of our lives have been made better knowing him. We appreciate your steady, kind and caring words. You are greatly missed.

David was a most-valued friend for over 65 years. He was a confidante, a dance partner, a party-buddy, a traveling companion, a trend-setter, a problem-solver, a challenging conversationalist, and always fun-loving which made him a joy to be with. He will be missed all the days of my life.
