Mr. David Owens, aged 67, of Marion, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of Friday, October 31st, 2025, at Senior Care of Marion, under the compassionate care of Agape Hospice, after a period of declining health. Born on April 21st, 1958, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, David was the beloved son of the late Daniel Owens, Sr. and the late Rosa Lee Darmon Owens Williams.
David was a self-employed handyman, known for his willingness to help others with various tasks. He was a man of the Christian Faith, which guided his life and actions.
He is survived by his son, Donald Owens; his brother, Daniel Owens, Jr. of Marion; and his sisters, Doris Ann Bryant of Florence, Rachel (Mark) Snyder of Myrtle Beach, and Marie Ihus of Fayetteville, NC. David was predeceased by his siblings Ronnie Owens, Janis McLellan, Patricia Ann Owens, and Don Owens.
A graveside service to honor David's life will be held on Monday, November 3rd, at 1:00 P.M. at Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Temperance Hill, SC. The service will be led by Chaplain Pastor Donnie Kirby and directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins. The family will greet friends briefly following the service at the cemetery.
