David Calvin Peak, Sr. 65 of Maple Acres Road, Princeton died Monday, October 6, 2014 at Princeton Community Hospital after a long illness. Born in Bluefield on April 21, 1949 he was the son of the late John Lawrence Peak and Lettie Ann Leftwich Peak. David coached football and softball for Ceres and Glenwood Little League for 20 years and was a former member of the Green Valley-Glenwood Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed watching sporting events and westerns. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Pamela Farley Peak. Five children, Brittany Nicole Fuller, Kevin Scott Peak, David Calvin Peak, Jr., April Yvonne Dove and Joseph Lee Puckett; Grandchildren, Bridget Nicole Fritter, David Wayne Dove, Jr., Casey Joe Puckett, Jayden Matson and Cameron Matson; One Great-grandchild, Kaleb Eckstein; Five Siblings, Virginia Woody and her husband Raymond, Dorothy Caldwell, John Robert Peak, John Lawrence Peak and Judith Dudley. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 10, 2014, from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Mike McGraw officiating. The family will honor David?s request to be cremated after the funeral service. Friends may visit with the family Friday, October 10, 2014, from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.
