I want to express my deepest condolences. This is a very hard time and I pray that Got gives you all the strength to move forward in life as Dave would want all of you to do. David Earl Potts, Sr., 65, of Spencer, died Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at the Miletree Center, Spencer.
He was born September 11, 1953 at Spencer, a son of the late Roy Benjamin and Georgia Lee Helton Potts, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Potts; two brothers, Roy B. “Benny” Potts, Jr. and John Helton.
Survivors include his children, Jackie (Nancy) Miller of Muncie, Ind., Angie (Kenny Lemley) Potts, David E. Potts, II, Ammy (Daniel) Simonds and Robert (Vicki) Potts all of Spencer; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
David was a retired mechanic. His hobbies included camping and fishing.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 13 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Randy Whited and the Rev. Roger Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery, Spencer. The visitation will be one hour before the funeral.
