David's Obituary

David Quiroz, 66, of Midland, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, surrounded by the love of his wife, daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren.

He was born on July 1, 1959, in Stanton, Texas, to Alicia and Felix Quiroz Sr. David lived a life rooted in love, faith, and family. He was a kind and gentle man who always put others before himself. With his warm smile and sense of humor, he had a gift for bringing joy to those around him. More than anything, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose greatest happiness came from the moments spent with those he loved most.

On May 22, 1982, David married the love of his life, Manuela, and together they shared 43 beautiful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and countless memories.

A man of determination and grit, David built his own construction business from the ground up. Through years of hard work and sacrifice, he created a life of stability and strength for his family. His work ethic and perseverance were unmatched, but his true success was measured by the love and respect he earned from everyone who knew him.

Outside of work, David cherished life’s simple joys. He especially loved Sundays with his family—playing games, sharing stories, and “chatting it up” late into the day. He never let a day go by without speaking to his daughter or his grandchildren, who could always count on him for advice, encouragement, and laughter. To his grandkids, he was not only their grandfather, but also a guiding father figure—their steady rock and daily companion. Always selfless, David would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. His heart was generous beyond measure, and his love left an imprint that can never be replaced.

David was also a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. No matter the season or the score, he was certain they were “going to the Super Bowl,” a running joke that brought countless laughs to his family and friends and will forever be remembered with a smile.

He is survived by his father, Felix Quiroz Sr.; his loving wife, Manuela Quiroz; and his one and only daughter, Adrin Quiroz, who will forever remember him as her rock. He is also survived by his son-in-law, Angel Sevilla; and his beloved grandchildren, Angelo Ortiz, Giselle Ortiz, and Mekayla Ortiz, who never went a day without his love and conversation. David is further survived by his brothers, Felix Quiroz Jr., Noel Quiroz, Rudy Quiroz, Mike Quiroz, and Danny Quiroz; and his sisters, Olga Rodriguez and Linda Quiroz Henington.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Alicia Quiroz, and his brother, Robert Quiroz.

Public viewing will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home. A rosary and evening prayer service will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral service will be celebrated on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, followed by burial at Serenity Memorial Garden.

Pallbearers will be Angel Sevilla, Angelo Ortiz, Alexander Ortega, Chris Madrid, Mathew Quiroz, Javier Quiroz, Noel Quiroz, and Osvaldo Esquibel.

Flowers and arrangements are welcome and may be sent to Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home.

David will be remembered as a man of unwavering love, strength, and laughter. His devotion to his family, his generous spirit, and the joy he found in simply being present will live on forever. Though a piece of our hearts went with him, his love will remain a guiding light, and the bond he created with his family will never be broken.
