David Leslie Stotler, Jr.

David Leslie Stotler, Jr. passed away on June 30, 2025, in Oklahoma City. David was born on January 1, 1962, to David Leslie and Katherine Joyce Poffinbarger (Durham) Stotler in Brunswick, Maine. He graduated from Moore High School in 1981 and studied at South Oklahoma City Jr. College.

David was a quiet and gentle soul. He was a lifelong lover of science fiction; he found joy in the pages of books and the stories he created. An introvert with a unique perspective on the world, he spent much of his time reading, writing, and even taking trigonometry classes just for the challenge and enjoyment of it. Hardworking, kind, and honest, he was deeply appreciated by his neighbors for his quiet presence and warm heart. He will be remembered for his thoughtfulness, his love of imagination, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life.

David was preceded in death by his father, David Leslie Stotler, Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Katherine Joyce Poffinbarger (Durham) Stotler of Newcastle; siblings, Susan and Shawn McClintick of Newcastle, Barbara and Derick Dobbin of Amber, and Thomas and Susan Stotler of Tennessee; nieces, Katey and Drew Gossett, Ashley McClintick; nephews, Keith and Laura Stotler, Jay McClintick, and Andrew McClintick; great-nephews, Kamron and Karson; and many other relatives and friends.
