David's Obituary

David A. Walker, Sr, 52, of Reading, passed away June 16, 2017 at 6:53 PM in the Emergency Room at Reading Hospital. He was the Life Partner of Denise M. Kelly with whom he would have shared 31 years together on September 7th. Born in West Reading, he was a son of Margaret E. (Koch) Walker of Reading and Donald S. Walker husband of Donna L. (Sanders) Walker of Flying Hills. Dave was a utility worker for 8 years at R. M. Palmer Candy, Wyomissing, last working on Thursday June 15th. A 1983 graduate of Reading High School, he was a brand ambassador for the Great Lakes Brewing Company. His memberships include Bru-Tang Clan Elite, Berks Beer Traders, Reading Indoor Alley Racing Association, Dirty Glass Mafia and Trillium Brewing Fans. He loved fishing with his nephew Alex, drinking craft beers, smoking cigars, rock concerts – especially "Rush", playing guitar, racing model cars, the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees. Dave was known as D. J. Outlaw and loved his family and friends and almost any animal, but especially Queenie, Minnie Walker and Larry the hamster. In addition to the love of his life, Denise and his parents, he is survived by his children – David A. Walker Jr., fiancé of Jordan L. Levengood, Birdsboro, Brittany L. Walker fiancé of Janeli Sanchez, Reading, his sister - Lorie A. wife of Michael F. Klonis, Bernville, his brother – Steve Stoner fiancé of Tracy Armolt, York, his fishing buddy and nephew – Alex and many aunts, uncles and friends. Dave was predeceased by his grandson – Cai'ron Garraway. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM and on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM with services to follow at Klee Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., One East Lancaster Ave., Shillington. Interment will be in Aulenbach Cemetery, Mt. Penn. Flowers are welcome or contributions in memory of Dave can be made to the family to assist with expenses or Caron Pennsylvania, P.O.
