Not sure what to say?

How quickly time goes by but the heart and fond memories linger forever.
Mike was a kind and caring man...husband , father, uncle and friend. Bless you Mike and bless your wonderful family. You were taken to soon but "what a life you had!"

On this anniversary if his passing, I would like to pay deep respect to my beloved Uncle Mike, who was always there for me, caring for me like I was his own son, living me unconditionally. May he rest in peace for all eternity. With love and honor, Michael O'Brien

Just yesterday, Mike came to mind and that offered up some pleasurable and fun memories. hoping that's how it is and always will be for his family

Tony and I really liked Mike a lot and he always told us about his wonderful times at the family home in Trinidad. We will miss him and so sorry for his family and friend's loss. God Bless!

So sorry to hear about Mike. He and my late husband were lifelong friends. They shared the same birthday and there would be a phone call at least once a year. I met Mike back in 1963 in Redding. There were always funny stories to be told. He was a special guy and will be missed. My condolences to his family.

Well, I have only known Mike for 40 years...unlike most who have signed here. Recently Mike was nice enough to offer to help me look for a gun......we never got around to looking...just shows you how short our life is...he will be missed by all...RIP Mike....To Mikes family: I'm sorry for your loss.

So glad I was off a month early in sending your BD card. You got it! When I reminisce about my childhood or any previous period of my life, those memories and good times always include you, Mike. What a guy and one of my very best friends. Love you Mike!

Obituary

David's Obituary

Mike was known for his quick wit, his sense of humor, and his good-natured personality. His dedication and generosity towards his friends and family were extraordinary. Mike was a veteran who served Shasta County for 30 years in various law enforcement departments. His greatest value came from his saying, "Don't lie to me and I will do everything I can to help; if I find out you are lying, then you're on your own." This call for integrity and honesty is lived by the family on a daily basis. Among Mike's many gifts, his most cherished were his deep love for his family, for the badge, and for Shasta County. Mike is survived by sons Ryan and David, Erica Zebo, sister Margaret O'Brien, and nephews Mike and Kevin O'Brien. A celebration of life will be held at the Showboat in Redding, CA, Sunday, November 17, 12:00 pm.Please sign the guestbook.Arrangements handled through Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding (243-1525).
