I remember when the twins was born, we are neighbors on Sticks Road in Washington NC The Crandall family was very nice to us and still is Linda Crandall and family members still on Sticks Road in Washington NC, Linda and I graduated together and we still the best of friends. RIP MY friend, to the family God got you in this difficult time all of you, love family.

Dawatta's Obituary

Dawatta White Williams was born on June 23, 1974, in Pitt County, North Carolina, to Linda Crandall of Washington, North Carolina, and the late Veldon Ray White. On Saturday, January 24, 2026, Dawatta peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion to family.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Claude and Nicey Lucille Crandall; her paternal grandparents, Veldon White and Ella Odell White; and her father, Veldon Ray White. She is survived by her mother, Linda Lou Crandall of Washington, NC.

Dawatta leaves to cherish her precious memories with her beloved children: two daughters, Daja Monique Staton of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Agi Sohna Ceesay of Raleigh, North Carolina; and one son, Tyler Joshua Williams of Selma, North Carolina. She also leaves behind her devoted nephew/son, Tristan Hollon (TJ) of Fayetteville, North Carolina; her devoted niece/daughter, Kierra White of Farmville, North Carolina; and her cherished great niece/granddaughter, Izabrea Hollon (Izzy) of Fayetteville, North Carolina.

She is survived by her paternal grandmother, Beulah Green White of Grimesland, North Carolina; her twin sister, Jawatta Thacker of Selma, North Carolina; and her three brothers, Magale Crandall of Fremont, California, Jeffrey White (Juanita) of Greenville, North Carolina, and Marcus Gardner of Greenville, North Carolina.

Dawatta also leaves to mourn her passing two devoted cousins/brothers, Michael Cedric Crandall of Greenville, North Carolina, and Michael Bell (Tink) (Marie) of Greenville, North Carolina, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.

Dawatta White Williams will be remembered for her loving heart, unwavering dedication to her family, and the lasting impact she made on all who knew her.
