Not sure what to say?

To family of Dawn, Thanks to today's tech. I found out that my long lost big sister had passed. I had no sisters but as all us kids played on the street I felt close to Dawn as my own sis. Budd Blvd. family will never forget you. Love to you Dawn! Ray [email protected]

Miss our laughing sessions on phone Missy Boulton and Jamie u call me love u kids bunches

I am so sad. Knew you since grammar school. Just within the last 2 years got in contact with Facebook. Damn girl, may your new journey be what you expected. To your family I never met, love and peace to all. To Jody & Jay. No words but love. (Lois Glowka)

We love and miss you so much!!!!!

Mom, You were my very best friend in good times and bad. I cannot get over the fact that your gone, the pain is incredible and I think alot about being reunited with you in heaven. Everywhere I look, every breath I take reminds me of you and I could have never imagined my life without my best friend. You were my ride or die and I was your horse of a different color and even as I cry myself to sleep at night I thank God for every minute we had together. You are forever in my heart and I will...

I had to take time to wrap my head around what has happened. None of us will ever fully understand why we all go thru the pain of losing someone until the day we all meet again, then it will make sense to us. Knowing that day is coming brings no relief to the hurt, pain and sadness being experienced now.
Anyone who had the chance to know you would agree that your someone who had a love for life, love for family, love for your friends and a love for animals and crafting.
There are...

Dear Frontin family Dawn was very kind to us during our loss as were all of you and you all hold a special place in our hearts. We wish their were words that could make a difference but please know that in time the memories will once again bring you smiles and laughter as Dawn would want. Condolences.

Aunt Dawn I will never forget my childhood visits to your house with grandmom and Aunt Jodi. The endless hours of laughter between all of us. The Christmases. The Thanksgivings. Our road trip. Our online Christmas shopping. Our trips to Walmart. Our conversations that included, laughs and tears. I always looked up to you and wished that I was part of a family like yours. You brought so much joy on Earth and will bring much more in heaven. I wish Lorelai and Braylin had met you. They would...

Obituary

Dawn's Obituary

Dawn Suzanne Friel Frontin, 60, of 137 Light Streak Road, Sunbury, NC, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018, in Sentara Obici Hospital, Suffolk, VA, where her husband was by her side.

Dawn was born in Woodbury, New Jersey on February 3, 1958, and was the daughter of the late James and Judith Anne Fields Friel. A crafter by trade, she had formerly owned “The Smiling Cow”, with two locations in the Tidewater area of Virginia, and had more recently operated “Studio 32” in Sunbury, specializing in handmade jewelry and country crafts.

Dawn was the person to bring light to the most difficult situations with her humor. She was the one to pull the shades when the light was too bright! She was the glue that kept it all together. Those who knew her would say she was the most kind-hearted and generous person, almost to a fault. She had an infectious smile, an incredible love for her family, and thought the world of her grandchildren. Dawn will truly be missed by so many!

Surviving are her husband of 34 years, Allan Wayne Frontin; and their children, daughter, Jaime Shannon Frontin and husband, Michael Vaught, of Charlotte; sons, Sean Daniel Frontin and wife, Shannon, of Chesapeake, VA, and Allan James Frontin and wife, Courtney, of Gatesville. There are six grandchildren, Silas Brown, Brooke Lynn Frontin, Lila Grace Frontin, Hudson Everett Frontin, Gunner Levi Frontin, and Adonis Major Vaught. Also surviving are her sisters, Deborah and Jodi Friel; and her brother, James Friel.

Friends are invited to join the family for a Celebration of Her Life on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the home on Light Streak Road.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution in her memory be made to any chapter of the American Cancer Society, or online at www.cancer.org.

Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, is assisting the family with arrangements and online condolences may be made by visiting www.millerfhc.com.
