Not sure what to say?

Sending you love and hugs and pray for you and your loved ones peace. God bless

Deane and I were next door neighbors and best friends from about the 4th grade until he moved away before high school. He was always unassuming and easy to be with. My parents thought he was quite mannerly for a young boy. We had a lot of fun together, not the least of which was stringing a line for ship-to-shore phones (his dad had brought from Todd Shipyard) between our houses so we could play checkers after going to bed with flashlights on numbered boards. As adults, Deane visited me...

I had the pleasure to know Deane because he married my good friend, Valerie. We visited several times and I knew he was dedicated to help care for dear Stephanie. I don't think there could have been a more wonderful person in Valerie and Stephanie's lives. We all have lost a friend indeed. At my last visit I learned of his interest in Astronomy and saw all his instruments. What a delight to learn more about Deane. May he rest in peace. And may Valerie and Stephanie have peace too...

Deane Nelson was always pleasant, agreeable and considered it a blessing to be able to care for Stephanie. I hoped to hear more of his guitar playing. He will be missed.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

I am grateful to have known Deane. He was a very special and most wonderful man .

Deane was the best thing to happen to my Mom and Stephanie. He was the epitome of a father and husband. Our lives were better with him in it.

Indeed a wonderful man.
