Deann Mitchell

Graveside rites for Deann Mitchell, 74, will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2025, in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Ardmore, Oklahoma with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating.

The daughter of the late Carroll Dean and Patricia Lou Teal Bitner, Deann was born October 25, 1951, in Wichita Falls, Texas.  She left her earthly home on December 11, 2025.

She married William L. “Buck” Mitchell on January 13, 1998.

Deann worked as an office manager for many years, first with Poly America and later with Modern Oil.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ardmore.  

She is survived by her husband Buck; son Mark McKinney and Michelle; stepmother Nancy Bitner; Stepsons, Billy Mitchell and wife Amber and Bo Mitchell and wife Lisa; stepdaughter, Megan Depew and husband Joe; grandchildren, Justin, Brittani, Kierstin and Lily; step grandchildren, Jezebel, Jolene, Buck, Addy, Trevor Annie and William, nieces Kimi and Megan and nephew Quaid; brothers Perry Bitner and wife Dena; and Michael Bitner.  She was preceded in death by father Carroll and mother Patricia and her daughter, Noelle Christine McKinney.
