Not sure what to say?

I am happy to have met De through her sister LuJean who was one of my best friends. De was a very quiet and sincere person. My sympathies to the family and friends. May she rest in our Savior's loving arms.

Deanna was such a generous and kind person. All the years spent being with her and her sister Lu Jean, I can not remember a bad time with her. Her uplifting spirit was a gift. Sympathy and love to her family.

Miss you. Prayers to her family

My deepest sympathy to the family she was a wonderful friend and classmate

Love and prayers to her family and close friends. Always so sweet.

Deanna Marie Johnson was born on September 7, 1955, to Merelyn Allan and Lois (Anderson) Johnson. A lifelong Maddock resident, Deanna devoted her career to caring for others, serving residents at the Maddock Memorial Home for 45 years. She was a quiet cornerstone of her community—steady, humble, and generous. She cared for her parents in their later years and was always ready to lend a hand to neighbors.

Deanna was an active member of North Viking Lutheran Church and the Sons of Norway. She enjoyed embroidery, quilting with WELCA, and countless other activities with her beloved “church ladies.” Though she was never known to drink, she was often spotted at the Maddock Bar—dutifully counting charitable gaming proceeds for her cousin Joni.

While Deanna cherished time spent traveling to see family and with Jeanie and Pete, visiting many places around the world, but her heart always belonged at home. She will be remembered for her laugh, her gentle spirit, and her quiet faith that guided her.

Deanna is survived by her brother Mark Johnson of Casselton, ND; brother-in-law Pete Deichert Jr. of Mandan, ND; nephews Christopher (Heather) Johnson of West Fargo, ND, and Peter Adam (Kirsten) Deichert of Mandan, ND; and great-nephews Mason Buckhouse and Peter Barrett Deichert IV.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Merelyn and Lois Johnson; sister, LuJean Deichert; niece, Tiffany Johnson; sister-in-law, Sherri Johnson; and numerous aunts and uncles.
