Deborah Kay “Grammy” Ursits Branch was born to Frank and Lucy (Anna) Ursits on May 8, 1954 in New Eagle, Pennsylvania.
She met the love of her life, Dave, in their 11th grade homeroom class at Ringgold High School in Monongahela, PA. They graduated in 1972, and married on April 20, 1974. They just celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary.
Debbie is leaving a beautiful legacy, being survived by her husband of 51 years, David Branch; daughter Kimberly Clark and husband, Scott; Christina Blanton and husband, Michael Jr.; grandchildren, Scotty Jr., Emily, and Nicholas Clark, Alissa, Hayley, and Joshua Blanton; brother-in-law, John Branch, Jr. and wife, Diane Branch; sister-in-law, Dorothy and husband, Bob Ruffell; sister-in-law, Judy and husband, Ed Whitely; nieces, Jen and husband, James Bett, and Stephanie and husband, Joshua Rusin; nephew, Christopher Whitely; cousins, Margaret Ursits, Sandy Glover, Carol and Bruce Lagona, Billy and wife, Laura Jarvis. She also leaves behind her beloved puppy, Holly.
Debbie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will always be remembered for her giving heart, her passion for decorating, and love of spending as much time as possible with family and friends celebrating every occasion possible. Debbie always remembered everyone’s birthdays and anniversaries; and never forgot to send a special gift just to let you know she was thinking of you.
Her house was always inviting from all of the festive holiday decorations swapped out for each and every holiday or special occasion. But, most importantly, the warm embraces shared with all family and friends was her most memorable feature. Her smile and laugh were infectious and Grammy enjoyed spoiling her grandkids above all and loved them beyond words.
Debbie recently celebrated 51 years of marriage with Dave and they have created countless memories together. Spending time together with all of the family and grandkids on recent vacations filled Debbie’s heart with pure joy. Debbie lived life to the fullest, was the glue that held the family together, and loved everyone; always making everyone feel welcome.
Friends will be received on Sunday, September 7, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 W. Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 at 10:00 AM with the Pastor Seth McPherson officiating. Interment will follow in the Monongahela Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (pancan.org).
