Deborah Clarissa Dixon Rozwood
Born on March 5, 1953, to Horace Dixon and Betty Joanne Land, Debbie Rozwood passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025. Accepting Christ at an early age, Debbie was a devoted Christian and beloved member of her church community. Debbie loved the Lord and lived a life marked by faith, love, and joy.
Debbie was born into a close knit family that exemplified love. She was preceded in death by both parents and her siblings: Kathryn Warnock, Michael Dixon and Bill Dixon.
Debbie was a cherished wife to Jim for 19 years, a sister, aunt, and friend. She found great fulfillment serving God at Middlebelt Baptist Church, under the leadership of Senior Pastor Larry Johnson. Professionally, she worked as a phlebotomist and in her retirement years as a caregiver for Visiting Angels, where her compassion and dedication touched many lives. She was referred to by many of her clients as their “Angel”!
She enjoyed swimming, modeling, self- pampering, and spending time at the casino—embracing life with a spirit of fun and adventure. Debbie will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her kindness, and her vibrant passion for life.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jim Rozwood; stepbrother Kevin Dixon, nieces Dione Warnock, Kendra Dixon, and Rachel Dixon; nephews Marc Warnock, Jared Williams, and Michael Dixon; and Cousin Marylin Wynns. She is also survived by her stepchildren Scott Rozwood, Brian Rozwood, and Jennifer Rozwood; grandchildren Joshua Rozwood, Lexi Rozwood, Kristopher Stratton Jr, Kaden Rozwood, and Kiera Rozwood.
Debbie’s extended family and dear sister-friends include Katherine Luckett-Watson, Roxieann Gooch, Nancy Brown, Janice Harbin, Sheila Murph, Betty Colley, and Rhonda Fields. Debbie was so proud of the fact that this sister-friend group has known each other for over 60 years and never “fell out” with one another but continued to show love and kindness towards each other.
Debbie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness,
which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—
and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing."
— 2 Timothy 4:7-8
