Ms. Debra Lennette Fullard, 67, of Charlotte, NC, departed this life on Wednesday, March 13, 2025, at her residence.

Debra Fullard, born August 19, 1957, in Queens, New York, was the daughter of the late George and Carrie Fullard.  She was educated in New York and graduated from Forest Hills High School.

She was a great student and hard worker.  She worked several jobs in order to pay to further her education.  After earning a degree in accounting, she worked for Hearst Publications in New York City as an accountant.  When the company decided to moved their headquarters to the Queen City, they offered an opportunity for Debra to relocate with them.  She accepted their offer.

After decades of working with Hearst Publications, Debra decided on a career change and worked with assisted living facilities.  She found this work very rewarding personally. Debra was strong, caring, understanding and very responsible.

First and foremost, Debra loved family.  She loved her family unconditionally.  She was proud of the family history, their progress, and accomplishments.  She was very loyal, loving and forgiving.  Secondly, she was a great friend.  She cherished her small circle of friends, but yet she associated with people from all walks of life. She integrated well in multiple social situations. It didn’t matter the race, financial status, or age of someone; she was nonjudgmental.  Debra made you feel comfortable and welcomed.  She’d boost your confidence and self worth with her conversations and infectious laughter.  She ALWAYS stood up for what was right.

Debra was confident and generous.  She always kept a positive outlook.  Like a magnet, people were drawn to her.

In addition to her parents, Debra was preceded in death by her brother, Kevin Fullard.  She is survived by her devoted nephew, Shawn Johnson of Charlotte, NC; nieces, Cicely Ruff and Felicia Fullard of Philadelphia, PA; great-nieces, Kimora Johnson and Kacie Mclendon Johnson and Karter Rose Norris; great-nephew, Legend Messiah Norris; and a multitude of aunts, uncles and cousins.  She treasured special relationships with cousin/sister, Karen Addison; aunt/sister, Sarah Smith; niece-in-law, Brandy Mclendon; Jeffrey Thomas and Thomas McDaniel.

Debra was a treasured soul in the Fullard Family, the last of a legacy that introduced the family to multiple cultures, opportunities and experiences.  She will be forever loved and sorely missed, gone but never forgotten.
