Not sure what to say?

The 2 second timer caught us off guard!

Everyone who knew my Grandma knows how remarkable she was. I spent summer months with them both as I was growing up, and have so many wonderful memories to thank her for! Love you so much, Grandma!

My deepest condolences to all that loved my ex-mother-n-law. She was the sweetest and always so kind to everyone. My heart hurts for her family and my son (her only grandchild). To be in heaven with Carl now has to be a blessing. Rest In Peace Ann.

Miss Ann was an amazing person. She was kind, thoughtful and hard working. I feel blessed that our paths crossed.

I’m so sorry for your loss Kenny and Dana❤

Delia's Obituary

Delia “Ann” Gann Wells peacefully entered eternal rest on September 30, 2025, at the age of 86, reuniting with her Lord and Savior along with beloved family members who went before her. Born on September 20, 1939, in Helena, Arkansas, to Rachel Morrison Middlebrook Gann, and later adopted by Arvel Douglas Gann, Sr., Ann’s life was a beautiful testament to love, faith, and kindness.

She married the love of her life, Carl Gene Wells, on August 30, 1957, and together they raised two sons. Ann’s greatest joy was being a mother, and she extended that nurturing spirit to many others as a devoted childcare provider and cherished nanny. Volunteering for projects that furthered the care for children in need.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband Carl, and her dear brothers Jones Elton Gann, Arvel Douglas “Doug” Gann, and Alfred Greeley “AG” Gann. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her sons, Carl Glenn Wells and Kenneth Wayne Wells; her sisters, Anna Sue Gann McCloud and Barbara Jean Gann Howard; her grandson, Carl Dustin Wells; and a host of nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

Ann was the heart of her family—gentle, generous, and full of grace. She lived with unwavering faith, always putting God and family first. Her warm smile, comforting hugs, and kind words were a source of light to everyone who knew her. She was adored for her motherly warmth and her joyful spirit, often found singing hymns that lifted the hearts of those around her. In fact, just hours before her passing, she was seen singing with a local performer at the care facility she lovingly called home in her final years.

Slow to anger and quick to forgive, Ann was known by many names—honey, mother, sis, dear friend—but to all, she was a blessing. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched with her love, laughter, and unwavering kindness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 11, 2025 in the Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Chapel in Palestine.  Visitation will be held at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Guiceland Cemetery.
